Established in 2009, the QBLC operates year-round to provide free legal services to a wide variety of individuals, businesses and non-for-profit organizations in southeastern Ontario who would otherwise have difficulty affording legal counsel. The QBLC seeks to provide Queen’s Law students with a unique professional development opportunity while instilling in them the values of community service and the pro bono tradition.For student caseworkers, work at the QBLC is part of a two-semester credit course that includes assignments and a weekly class. The QBLC also employs a couple of student caseworkers for the summer months, which provides students with a more intensive work experience and ensures continuity of client service.
